‘stencil’ only sounds shabby
A little story: We have a stairway that goes down to our 3rd bedroom. We had the treads of the stairs refinished after we removed some grody carpet. We assumed that the whole staircase would be refinished but they only did the treads (over-communication and I are getting to know one another). Which left the risers very, shall I say, unattractive. I was thinking we would sand them down but HELLO we can just pre-cut some wood, stencil it and have a beautiful Morrocan staircase! This is so doable.
